End-User License Agreement (EULA) and Terms of Use

Effective Date: October 18, 2026 Last Updated: October 18, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA" or "Terms") is a binding legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Gonzalo Martínez García ("the Developer", "we", or "us") governing your download, installation, and use of the Rememora software application ("the Application").

By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Application.

2. License Grant and Restrictions

2.1. Scope of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Application on devices that you own or control, for your personal and educational study purposes.

2.2. Restrictions

Unless applicable law or an open-source license governing a specific third-party component explicitly permits otherwise, you agree not to:

3. User Content, Curated Decks, and Data Responsibility

3.1. Ownership of Your Content

You retain full ownership of all decks, flashcards, notes, images, and documents that you create or import into Rememora. Because Rememora operates on a Local-First architecture without developer-hosted cloud accounts, your study content is stored locally on your device.

3.2. Your Responsibility for Imported Content and Backups

3.3. Curated Decks Catalogue

Rememora provides an optional catalogue of curated study decks for educational and general reference purposes. While curated decks are prepared with care, factual subjects evolve and human errors can occur; you may edit or delete any downloaded card in your local library at any time.

4. Intellectual Property and Open-Source Notices

The Application, including its original source code, visual design, the "Rememora" name, logos, and original Memo companion illustrations, is owned by Gonzalo Martínez García and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Rememora incorporates third-party open-source software components and fonts governed by their respective licenses. Their full copyright notices and license texts are available inside the Application under Settings > About > Open Source Licenses.

5. Educational Tool and Disclaimer of Warranties

5.1. Educational Purpose Only

Rememora is a study aid designed to help you organize and review information using spaced repetition (FSRS) and text-to-speech playback. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, academic certification, or other regulated professional advice, nor does it guarantee exam results or specific learning outcomes.

5.2. "AS IS" Provision

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Application and its curated decks are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or error-free operation.

In particular, local study reminders and text-to-speech playback depend on your device's operating system, installed voice engines, notification permissions, and battery-management policies, which are outside the Developer's control.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gonzalo Martínez García shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of local study data, missed reminders, or academic results arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Application.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection laws in Spain or the European Union.

7. Apple App Store and Google Play Additional Terms

If you downloaded the Application from the Apple App Store or Google Play:

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain and applicable European Union law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of your habitual residence. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain or, where mandatory consumer law so provides, the courts of the consumer's place of domicile.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the Application changes. Updated Terms will be published at https://gonzaloapps.es/en/apps/rememora/legal/eula/ (and in Spanish at https://gonzaloapps.es/apps/rememora/legal/eula/) with a revised "Last Updated" date.
