  1. Generating a license for Northstar-Studio issued to Alex Morgan — Demo, bound to hardware ID DEMO-WORKSTATION-001, with no expiration date and the UserDefined text features=reports,export;plan=professional.
  2. Inspecting a license: the signature is verified with the selected public key, the product and hardware match, there is no expiration, and the authenticated fields show the signed customer, hardware ID and custom data in format 2.
  3. Dashboard: one application, two issued licenses, neither expired, and the last license generated, for Northstar-Studio (Alex Morgan — Demo).
  4. Applications management: a form to create an application, and the Northstar-Studio product with two issued licenses and its actions to generate a license, copy its ID, open its keys or delete it.
  5. License history: two permanent demo licenses for Northstar-Studio, with the selected one expanded to show its customer, hardware ID and UserDefined text.
  6. Settings in dark mode: theme, font scale, language and startup greeting; backup export and import with a warning that backups contain unencrypted private keys; desktop shortcut, documentation and logs folder.

License Generator is a desktop tool for software developers. It creates a separate RSA key pair for each of your products, issues signed licenses with optional hardware binding, expiration date and custom data, and inspects them locally with a public key you trust. It runs offline on Windows and Linux, and its integration guides and C# verification examples are on GitHub.

Your data

License Generator has no account and makes no network request of its own. Your signing keys, the licenses you issue, your settings and a seven-day diagnostic log stay in the application's data folder on your computer. The developer runs no server and never receives a copy.
